Given that I will be leaving my beloved Uruguay soon again, I started to get all that FOMO I did not get the past months while being here, and decided to explore the beauties of the motherland, I’m a beachside gal with the countryside at heart.
For someone utterly obsessed with traveling, sometimes I take for granted the millions of tourists that land in my lands every year. Don’t get me wrong, they do not go unnoticed, the inexistent winter supermarket queues suddenly become a thing, clubs and night bars come to life, and believe it or not, even the traffic lights get turned on during summer.
As you may know from my about page I suffer from a restless wanderlust gene
As usual, there was a need to dress the part. I wanted to wear my graduation dress which I bought off a super cute concept store in Chelsea London, last summer, but I thought how do I pull off an upwards U$S 1000 silk dress and take it to the countryside?
So I thought ok, layers, layers and textures are the key to solving this [oh so first world] problem. Started off with La Marca 1967 denim patch jacket in blue and white, which immediately vibed countryside to me, I told myself: cowgirl let’s cliché the f*ck out of this outfit and tie a red scarf to your Balenciaga bag, had chosen the bag cus it was suppoused to rain and this baby comes with a special coating for summer showers. Skies cleared laters I learnt sometimes we all just need a little staycation, for what we call home and routine, can all of a sudden become adventures and newness.
